I think anyone who knows me --or has even heard of me knows that I am in love with 2 things that occur during the fall season.

Hallowe'en is probably my absolute favourite time of year.  It beats out Christmas by at least an inch.  This year, I held the 2nd Annual "All Hallows Eve Bash".  Good times were had by most.  One never wants to say "had by all".... there is always some ass in the corner NOT having a good time.  Statistically, "most" seems more appropriate.

The Western Fair is not on the list because of the rides or the games... it's the smell, the weather and for the love of God, the cheese on a stick!!! The world needs more foods on sticks.  Please see my opinion section, "Where For Art Thou, Cheese", for the tragic tale of this year's visit to the fair.   

 

Other Favourites:

Colour:  Green (but I like Blue and Yellow too...)

Movie:  Ghostbusters  (Back to the Future and The Dream Team round out the top 3 --Old School, What About Bob, Dodgeball & Anchorman 
              too...)

Food:  I love my home made Chicken Nachos... I also make a mean fajita and a damn fine pot roast. 

Actor:  Bill Murray and Will Ferrell... Vince Vaughn is up there too.  I also enjoy Kevin Spacey and Edward Norton.  Don't forget William Petersen!!!!

Actress:  No one really comes to mind --though I do like Bette Midler's work...

Song:   Too many to mention.  Though, "Bad Timing" by Blue Rodeo, "Fare Thee Well, Love" by the Rankins, and "Travelin' Soldier" by The Dixie Chicks all seem to stand out.

Artist:  Lets see... The Rankins, Great Big Sea, Blue Rodeo, Jann Arden, The Guess Who, BNL, Jimmy Rankin (solo work), Sheryl Crow, The 
           Dixie Chicks,  The Wailin' Jennies, the Ennis Sisters, Alison Krauss... the list goes on... 

Item of Clothing:  Anything that fits, dammit.  Shut up.

Beverage:  Ahh...the beverage.  I'd have to say... in the non-alcoholic category... plain ol' H2O with lime, Dr. Pepper, Iced Tea, Lemonade and Chocolate Milk top the list.  In the Alcohol section of our survey.... I'd have to say... hmm...  Alexander Keith's with lime, a glass of red wine or a Pina Colada.  Mmmm.... Pina Coladas..... (drool....)

TV Show:  This one's a no brainer:  CSI (Grissom could swab me for DNA anyday!!!).  Also, The Simpsons are at the top.  I have recently started to get into "Family Plots" on A&E.  In fact... there are a lot of shows on A&E that I like: Cold Case Files, Investigative Reports, American Justice and City Confidential.  Another good show is Six Feet Under.  I don't usually do reality tv -- though I do attend a "Survivor Night" (though my participation is more for the social aspect of the get-together than the actual show itself...)
